OK, I don’t have the manual transmission but still, this car is a blast
! I love the ride of my Passat but why can’t I burn rubber? Not
enough horsepower?

A3 Jetta with VW Premieum Sound System
My car has the VW Premieum Sound System with the tape deck with cd changer
controls. Thinking of chaning the deck but I was told by the local stereo
shop the stock amp will need to be disconnected. so I was wondering what
others have done. do you just remove the stock amp and put in your own amp?
if so what amp did you use and did you change the stock speakers? what size
speakers are in those? looks like a couple 6.5′s and some other sizes then
tweats.. it sounds good I just want mp3 & cd player deck in there.
Thanks

98' Jetta fuel quantity gauge and coolant temp gauge problem.
I am having a problem with my 98′ Jetta GLX VR6 electronics. I just
purchased the car 2 days ago and yesterday my fuel quantity gauge and my
coolant temp. gauge stopped working on me. My left instrument panel back
light doesn’t work either, I am not sure if the two problems are related
or not? Has anyone ever seen this before? I don’t know the first place
to look, never worked on a VW before. I would appreciate any suggestions
that anyone has. Thank You.
Stretched trhottle valve cable (84 scirocco)
Found out why my 84 Scirocco’s AT was not upshifting correctly: my
throttle valve cable stretched. Lovely. How much would one of those set
me back and where can I get one?

98 cabrio exhaust
Hi All.
I have a 98 cabrio that has an exhaust leak coming from in front of the
converter. Unfortunatley I cannot see where the leak is due to the
heatshield. What I would like to know, is if there is a flex coupling
between the downpipe and the converter, or does the coverter and
downpipe bolt together?
Thanks for any info.

Re: Vanagon cooling woes
Do you have good heat in the van, if so I don’t think it’s the waterpump?
Did you bleed the cooling system from the radiator top?
Does the radiator fan run?

93 fox coil problems
My dad has a 93 fox wolfsburg edition. It will not start. He replaced the
coil, and it ran at an idle for a few minutes then cut out. When he
touched the coil it was very hot, and thinks something may have blown it.
Can anyone information give me any information on what could cause this?
VW Problems website
I just launched a VW Problems website:
http://www.volkswagenlemonlaw.com dedicated to gathering and
presenting information on VW airbags deploying, Touareg throttle
hesitation and other Volkswagen problems. If you have any suggestions
for any other problems or information that you’d like to see listed on
the site, please let me know. Thanks!

That’s the CAT loose in its box. It will eventually break-up and partially
block the exhaust giving severe loss of power.
Buy a replacement from GSF or EuroCarparts. Check their prices online.
