I’d like to install a hands-free cellphone kit in my ’95 Passat.  One
obvious place is to the right of the instrument cluster housing (or
whatever you call it), but would that interfere with the front
passenger airbag?  Or do I need to mount it down low, on the passenger
side of the center console?

Also, antenna questions: I believe some previous poster mentioned that
the standard antenna is cellular-compatible.  If this is true, how do
I tap into it?  (A ’96 manual that I looked at warned not to use a
cellphone without an external antenna, but seemed to imply that one
needed a separate one.)
