: Anybody out there tried SPAX spring and shock set yet. I'm looking for a
: set of spring and shock for my Golf III. They have a good deal for this set
: until march. They sell it for $508 (usually $695). The Neuspeed spring and
: shock set is around $599.

I'm assuming that you're getting it from Ron's Parts... I've only tried
two different (complete) kits, the Sachs and the Spax (both from Ron),
and I've tried a Neuspeed spring-only suspension set on my friends. The
Spax lowers the car the most -- about 2 1/2 inches, whereas the Spax is
about 2, and the Neuspeed/H&R about 1 1/2. The Spax seems a little
harsher than the Sachs...over all, the handling is ok. Probably your
best bet is to actually TRY them yourself (if your local shop lets you).

: >The next project that i have to to is that the heating radiator (the thing that
: >provides heat when u turn on the ventilator) is leaking and i want to fix that
: >myslef.

Note: this may be covered under a VW Recall....check before you spend the
time and money, as it aint a fun job.. :)
A note on your heater core project...., wasn't this a factory recall, I
had an 86 Jetta that this was replaced for free (no more interior smelling
vaguely like maple syrup)
