I am looking for suggestions on the best radar detector.
Is the Valentine one worth it?
Thanks in advance.

I ahve ahad a Valentine since they came out
and it worth every penny
the range is great and in the logic modes
is great in the city
I you have a five speed I would recommend
rewiring it for an external swicth to
control the mode and the mute and using an
flat swicth stuck to your gear shift for
those muting inthe city and run it in the A mode.
The counter is nice to get an Idea of false signal
and the direction make it easy to spot them
and know when you have passed them if they ar oncoming.

I have 2 Valentine Ones. They aren’t worth every penny, but that’s the
price you pay for the ultimate radar detector.

Break it in slowly, you speed deamen. Anyway I posted this question
a few weeks ago and there was really no conclusion. Don’t buy Bell

Hi,
Well, the manual says you can 3/4′s of top speed while breaking it in
so ~115 isn’t all that bad if you don’t go on long trips where hitting
top speed is necessary.
Why don’t you like Bel? Seems they do really well in those radar
detector magazine reviews, usually placing above Escort. I have an
Escort detector right now which I think is fried since it gets power but
rarely goes off. I’m going to get another one eventually and was
just wondering if there was something wrong with them?

The reason I don’t like Bel is because it falses to much. It does
give me warnings but I think that the range has also decreased. I only
have it for 2 years now so it’s not that old.
