I’ll write this fast because I wasn’t going to post anymore but
I was alerted of a lost soul on the VW(c) newsgroups.

MY site was created as a centrally located place for someone to
go that wanted to see more about Volkswagens(c).It was created
to organize a small segment of the net.The material was usually
made aware to me by the author of the stuff or a fellow user
who felt it should be brought to the attention of everyone else.
This site was set up as a model and goal for other users to try
and organize the net and its vast information potential.What have
you done lately to improve the net?

Also the site was created by me and can be called what ever I want.
The page has never been toted as the offical or authorized
Volkswagen site.

And I believe that the page is of sufficient "professional" quality
and have been complimented on it quite frequently. The site was
planned to have numerous more upgrades that would have sent users
squelling with glee but the university frown on its people tying
up most of its computer resources by one person.

And speaking of the university, I was grilled quite enough
on my site recieving over 100,000 hits a day and peaking at
216,000 last week. The technitions that had to sort through
the rubble of computers and systems after I crashed the new
Solaris operating system and most of the computer and telephone
system on campus and the surrounding area with the popularity
of my site were ready to string me up.

Also, I have over 1.2 Gigabytes of pictures that most of
you will never ever see on the net at home but the university
frowns on one user occuping all of the universities mainframe
resources.Plus the added information and scrabble to see it
would only flood the already overflowing net and  telephone system.

But I must say I’m very sorry for you, a man who could of learned
so much from the site. If you give a dumb man information, he is
still dumb. But if you teach him how to organize it, there’s no
stopping him.

As I understand, nobody is profiting from this effort at consolidating VW
info on a web site… unless this chap is selling his own manufactured VW’s?

What’s to protect anyway?  Nobody is infinging anything as I see it…

More of a VW tribute than anything else…
