  1. Not sure what your problem is but the "pivoting section" can easily be
fixed if it’s "broken".  Take it off the car.  There is a plastic
round insert that rotates inside on each side.  It’s color is yellow
brown.  The rest of the mechanism is aluminum, I think.  Pound both of
the plastic parts back into place, making sure they go in all the way.
Drill a small hole thru the aluminum and into the plastic.  Screw in
a small screw.  Do this on both sides.  Make sure you have clearance,
    etc.

This is the VW fix for a center armrest that keep slipping down.

  2. No, its broken/broken.  The PO must of had a wrestling match with
someone in that car, the locking pawl teeth are broken off.  Believe me,
I am a whiz with JB Weld, but I can’t see how to fix this thing.  ANYONE
know of any yards ANY where with a A4 Jetta??????

Need a tan glove box door too…

    Thanks for any help….

  3. Yikes, no fault code for the cruise! You can’t get fault codes for something
that doesn’t produce fault codes. It’s just doesn’t have scanner ability.
Find another mechanic who knows what they are doing.
