Ok, I drive an 86 Jetta w/150,000 miles on it. I need a new coil (mine
is doing something really weird – occasionally it gives off shock causing
the engine to miss). So, should I go to the dealership/Pep boys OR
should I get a performance coil? Is it worth it?? Where do I find a
performance coil? Thanks for any help!

For a performance stock coil, if you have the proper ignition wire set for it
just go with any of the 16v coils from the CIS-E cars.
