you’re right, it would. i’m working on putting one on my jetta now. a few things:
the bracket between the cover and the intake manifold is different. the bracket from a G60 might work, or might not, i don’t recall if the manifold is the same or not. might have to make a bracket. also, the G60 cover looks like it uses two brackets (the extra mount hole is directly in front of the throttle body, but it could be for something else) but your manifold only has a stud for one.
it also looks like the timing belt cover might be different, since the end of the valve cover has a flange on it and the steel cover does not.
mine doesn’t have the oil breather tube installed in it, and i don’t know if i can get it. if you buy one, make sure it’s complete.
one last problem is that the guy i bought it from tried polishing it and f’d it up. may get it powder coated or flame-sprayed. either way it should look cooler than stock or those Rapid machined covers. besides, it’s a factory part!
